Since its founding in 1895, Chi Omega has been committed to philanthropic efforts and service to others. In the late 1990s, the fraternity wished to establish a national philanthropy and in 2002, they announced the Chi Omega/Make-A-Wish partnership. Today, the Make-A-Wish Foundation holds a special place in the hearts of Chi Omegas, embodying their shared commitment to making a difference. The impact has been monumental, with Chi Omega raising over $33 million, contributing an astounding 1.4 million volunteer hours, and fulfilling countless wish grants for children battling life-threatening illnesses. Firmly rooted in the belief that a wish possesses the power to alter the trajectory of a child's life, Chi Omega's support provides hope and resilience for Make-A-Wish kids, empowering them to face their challenges with renewed strength.
